EXAM PROJECT JDBC - BUNGALOW IN THE BIESBOSCH

During my studies at the Jan des Bouvrie College, I was given the assignment to design an interior for a bungalow located on the edge of the Biesbosch nature reserve. The focus was on creating a fitting and atmospheric design that is fully in harmony with the natural surroundings.

Based on a fictional client profile including age, passions, hobbies, and their choice to live close to nature—I developed a personal interior concept. This began with an extensive research phase in which I created a client collage with conceptual imagery, followed by an inspiring text that tells the story behind the design. I then composed a color palette that matched the natural character of the surroundings and developed it into a complete interior design.

This project highlights my ability to think conceptually and translate atmosphere into a tangible living environment, with the client’s wishes and the location at the heart of the design.
